Excellent Hard disk!

Amazing performance in such a light and portable devices. I made some reservations about reading some other reviews. In response, I had no problems other than a fingerprint magnet.

Proprietary micro USB type of connection is actually improving imho. I am the other devices where the micro USB connection release over time significantly. Cable WD fits far more pleasant and not at all to play for nothing. Units and move all the time as my poorly designed VAIO USB ports in front of the DVD, never managed to disconnect.

Mine seems to be silent and never noticed any vibration from it at all even for larger data copies. I even found a WD SmartWare is not too resource hungry, although I would not miss to be honest.

The only other point to note is that it must move quite close to 500mA, so it will not work outside the un-powered USB hub when another device is plugged in. Most laptops these days very special USB ports, so you get to 500 mA each, certainly my Dell and Sony to do so directly involved in mining, with a wireless mouse and my phone receiver.

All in all, a great piece of kit if you are moving around this make sure you invest in a case too.

It's not my all and end-all of storage, but it's my carry with me everywhere. These five different features really mean the difference between data storage systems and file management smoothly and it is a nightmare that you will never be the truth.
